A one day pop-up project in the area around Den Haag HS station. At the same routine, people always walk through the same area every day and they are only busy or deep in thought. In this project, by using this pop-up, we wanted to break the tunnel vision of the people who walk through this area daily. Grab their attention and pull them away from their daily step and make them be more aware of their environment.

 

This project we got the specific material-Stone. In the way to trick the people, we designed the whispering stone that the stone can produce sound. The sounds were recorded sounds from the area itself, mixed to sound disturbed and almost extraterrestrial. This one day pop-up of the three stones was only a short lived moment in the busy lives of these passersby, but we hope it will become an interesting memory for them and reminds them be aware the surrounding more.
